1000 Miglia 2023 Edition
The 1000 Miglia (1000 Miles) is the epitome of the classic car race. It is a brand experience with a bold, innovative and progressive spirit which made it a worldwide event, all the while enhancing the Italian territory.
Everything started in 1921 when Brescia hosted the First Gran Premio d’Italia (Grand Prix of Italy). However, the year after, Monza was favored instead, and the Brescian people lost their favorite event.
Thus, four gentlemen, Giovanni Canestrini, Franco Mazzotti, Aymo Maggi e Renzo Castagneto, decided to organize their own race. On January 26th 1927 the first 1000 Miglia took place.
Since then, many editions have followed and several influential people participated in the event: from
Italian politicians to American movie producers, from celebrities and journalists to even princes.
This year edition surprised us with a five days race, instead of the usual four, where 405 vintage cars will compete. Starting from the city of Brescia, the itinerary is Verona, Ferrara, San Marino, and Rome. Only to return through Pavia, Alessandria, Milano, Franciacorta and back to Brescia.

1000 Miglia became a regular event in the 80’s making the city of Brescia the home and symbol of the race along the famous Freccia Rossa (Red Arrow). Since then, other events were created: the Coppa delle Alpi (March 1st -4th ) a race through the Alps; the Sorrento Roads by 1000 Miglia (March 30th -April 2nd ) a journey through Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast; 1000 Miglia Warm Up CH (May 5th -7th) a three days training course.
Together with the traditional 1000 Miglia 2023 Edition in June, the 1000 Miglia Green reserved for electric cars, the 1000 Miglia Experience for supercar owners only, and the Ferrari Tribute, will take place.
