One of the most beautiful drives in Tuscany is in Val d’Orcia, with its pure landscape, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The whole valley is stunningly gorgeous with cypress roads, endless views of the hilly landscape and its little medieval towns all charming and worth visiting.

The recommended route is: Montepulciano, Montichiello, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Torrenieri, Buonconvento, Montalcino.

The ride ends in Montalcino at the “Castello Tricerchi”, where you can visit the castle, know the family history, take a walk through the vineyards and medieval winery. There enjoy a tasteful light lunch with local products and taste different wines like Brunello Riserva, Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino and Sangiovese.

The Castle of the Tricerchi family, completed in 1441, dominates the property and is now the home and headquarters of the Tricerchi’s direct ancestors, the Squarcia family. It extends over 400 hectares on the northern slopes of Montalcino, 13 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of Sangiovese Grosso, the vines which produce Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.

To end the day with a high note, take off directly from the castle and enjoy an amazing panoramic Helicopter flight on the way back.
